We believe in forging productive, lasting relationships built on trust and respect with a diversity of partners, fostering innovations in our work, and producing tangible, on-the-ground results for habitat conservation across private and public lands in the West.

These threats increasingly challenge the ability of private and public landowners and managers to conserve and restore these systems. Added to the mix are the social, economic, and political changes affecting the fabric of our identity and roots as residents of the Intermountain West.

The Intermountain West Joint Venture (IWJV) is a partnership of government agencies, nongovernmental organizations, and other public and private landowners for the conservation of bird habitats [1] in the inter-mountain areas of the western United States.

IWJV Management Board members share a common passion for bird and other wildlife habitat, as well as a strong desire to nurture and grow partnerships with other entities in order to accomplish significant and meaningful conservation work in the Intermountain West.
