Need advice on which Invictus Practical shell holders to buy.
Mar 29, 2018 · Perhaps (1) 12Q and (2) 2.8. Thus, more shell capacity in almost the same space. I like to angle mine to match the angle of my wrist *for that position*, numbering each caddy I have so it goes back in the same spot on the belt and thus set up for that natural wrist angle.

Oct 9, 2024 · Thanks, I have a full set of their dual load shell holders. I started with them, and they are good. But when I tried quad loading, i preferred the way the Safariland holders secured the shells and went with those. I think I found someone that had one in stock so I ordered it.

Jan 3, 2019 · First of all, the design of the shell clips themselves result in nice, smooth release of the shells, with fewer fumbles and "bowed" stacks of shells. The flip side of this is that retention isn't quite as good as some other models, and that might be an issue. I personally have never had a problem with it, but that's just me. Your mileage may vary.

Jul 3, 2012 · Safariland USED TO source the shellholders from CCW and they said CCW on them [082], but very recently [this year's Shot show, I think] Safariland changed the design to be more like the Progressive Machine shellholders [085].

Jan 14, 2024 · Since the Lee shell holder is "universal " for 3 different calibers that may be part of the problem. I see that RCBS sells one just for 9mm. I may buy that to see if it holds the casing tighter. I understand all the shell holders fit other brand presses. Thanks for your insight.

Jan 11, 2024 · The retainer tabs do help with debris getting under the shell plate but powder still does make it through. Double alpha has what is called the PSP or the powder spill presenter which is a brush that mounts with a magnet to my super 1050.
